The weather today was insane.

Most of the day it wasn't really all that rainy, but all these tornados and bad thunderstorms were supposed to hit, which freaked everyone out. When I woke up, I concluded that today was a perfect day to match my outfit with the dismal weather predictions.

All black outfits are my favorite. It's hard to see details (because...black) but I've got on a basic top tucked into a black skirt, plus a black cardigan around my waist to tie the outfit together. Pun intended.

Anyways. I didn't want to scare my classmates too much, so I paired the look with my sister's white sneakers and some white nail polish.

A while back Forever 21 posted on their Instagram that they were hosting a contest for their new "Free Spirit" line. I have mixed feelings about Forever 21 (Pros: cheap. Cons: cheap.), but I was all for winning a big prize. This is the outfit I submitted.
SPOILER ALERT, I lost the contest.
I decided to go shoeless for my outfit because for some reason I felt like free spirits could do that. A horrible side effect of this decision was the blinding white of my runner girl, sun deprived feet, which is a bit horrifying so my apologies for that.

I was able to vacation to the gorgeous South Carolina coast with my family, and managed to take these pictures of one of my outfits while I was there! It’s a really basic and casual look, perfect for going shopping at the beach. I found this oversized jean jacket in my mom’s closet, and I’m completely obsessed with it. It’s perfect because it really dresses down all of the clothes I wear—just what I needed while walking around a cool (there’s a double meaning there, aren't I clever?!) beach town.
