Over the past year, I've become completely obsessed with blogging and I'm grateful for all the support and experience I've gained here at Fashion to a T.

If you're feeling a little déjà vu and think this skirt may be kinda familiar, it is.
It just got a little upgrade since last week's blog post with Katie—I don't even remember the last time I wore this button down as an actual top, to be honest.

If you're getting bored with your classic button downs, wearing your shirt as a skirt is something kinda adventurous and new you should try (plus it means more bottoms + more validation for spending money on a new button down, amiright?).

Not to mention it screams both "8th grade DIY" and "I'm kinda fashionable, I guess." (see here: Alexander Wang)

Happy Fourth of July, America! 2015 years old, wow!!!???! (~~that was a joke don't hate me please)~~

I got some pictures with my neighbor & awesome friend Katie for today! We even coordinated in some classic-navy-blue-and-white-America colors, because obviously you have to do that if you're going to take pics together, right?

I was so excited to be able to wear this dress! I sorta/maybe found it in my moms closet & stole it (she was in Disney World with my younger sister, who had a jump rope competition there. I'm the worst closet raider).

I'm pretty sure I'm missing some kind of string for the back of this dress, but I still love it as just a deep V with some cute lil loops hanging out there.

I found this hat on sale at Urban Outfitters over the weekend (only $10 yayyyyy) & simultaneously discovered that I'm actually sort of obsessed with wearing hats.

It's hard to tell from these semi-low quality iPhone photos--pooooooo, I know right?--but the bucket hat is this super cool tropical print that makes me feel like a tourist. And what else screams tourist like a shirt tied around your waist (and fanny packs, but I'm not ready for that jump yet)!

So basically the whole day I wore this I looked like the Rare Suburban Tourist, wandering through perfectly groomed neighborhoods and shopping centers (national chains only!!) as I admired the rest of the suburbanites in their natural habitat & golf-preppy clothes (not to be confused with goth-preppy, which would be something else entirely).

Which leads me to the question, have you ever acted as a tourist in your own city? Maybe it would be fun. I could rent a Segway (not joking, I think they do that here).

P.S. Have you seen Jurassic World yet? I'm about to maybe go see it for the second time later today. The entire movie all I can think about is how on EARTH is that woman running around in the dirt with heels on? And faster than a GIANT DINOSAUR?! I know the whole "recreated dinosaurs" thing is unrealistic itself, but seriously--THE HEELS. Ugh.

In case you didn't know: I'm one of four girls in my family.

I've featured my two older siblings on my blog before, & my younger sister is almost always my unwilling photographer (LOVE YOU). She doesn't usually let me take pictures of her because it's "kinda weird." Touché, Nicole.

My sisters are awesome & so gorgeous, and we all have a lot in common besides our towering height (5'8 & up only, if you wanna join the fam). We can share all of our clothes, which comes in handy on the rare occasion we all get to reunite (aka, right now).

Somehow I got all of us to take these pictures, which I'm so obsessed with. We look like we're about to drop our new mixtape. Are we the new HAIM + 1, or just a group of weird sisters posing behind an abandoned Blockbuster?

I think this shirt probably applies to 99% of bloggers & probably people, in general. Wake up and run 8 miles, or pick out your favorite outfit to photograph and write about? Easy.

Unless you're me, I guess. Then this shirt is just hilarious & ironic. Maybe I need to add a little "greater than or equal to" sign.... blogging ≥ jogging?

Yesterday was my last high school track race, which is really sad, but I'm super lucky I get to keep running in college! If everything goes as planned, for the next four years I'll be doing a nice combination of both jogging and blogging (and studying Fashion & Textile Brand Management).

Can I do some advertising right now? I will. Too bad.

My next oldest sister (I'm 1 of 4. Think of me as the jelly in a PB&J sandwich) - she's the one from this post - is designing bralettes for Jawbreaking, which is where this shirt is from (thank you Aly ᵔ.ᵔ ) , and they're about to be SO AMAZING. I get sneak peeks of them because sister perks, but I can't wait for you all to check them out AND LOVE THEM. /end

For our last week of high school (congrats class of 2015!), we had a school spirit week that obviously no one but I participated in. One of the themes was dress to impress, and I found this slightly-too-short vintage pant suit combo, scrambled out of the depths of my mother's closet, to be pretty impressive.

If I had to describe my feelings about these clothes, I would say I felt like a powerful Amazonian businesswoman, towering over the shorter and less-impressively dressed peers who decided to forgo spirit week and instead don their classic, laid back Norts/Jack Rogers combination.
It was a pretty sweet feeling, if you can disregard the fact that wearing heels all day in school gave me huge blisters.

Recently, I've been really bad at dressing for school.
I try to wear exciting things as often as I can and save my running shorts & t-shirts for practice, but I honestly think I wore track clothes for at least 3 of the 5 school days this week.

I like to stay inspired & keep things original, but my ideas for spring were running short (ba-dum-tsss) & I couldn't find new ways to re-work some of my old clothes, which I usually love experimenting with.

Today, I went through all of my favorite sources of inspiration (I have an arsenal of fashion blogs and Instagram accounts that I stalk on the regular), and I found out that I actually really love the Coach Spring 2015 Ready-To-Wear collection, not that you can really tell from these pictures.
Shocker: I―a normal high school student―don't own clothes from off the runway, so I have to make do with what I do have.

In my case, this meant layering this see-through lacy Free People dress over a black bralette and a pair of high waisted black shorts along with re-parting my hair to hide my straight across bangs.

On Monday, my friend Maddie at The Gilded Guru and I took advantage of the gorgeous weather and took some outfit pictures for our blogs.
I'm a wimp, so I always seek out a secluded area (examples include behind an abandoned Blockbuster and in my backyard when no neighbors are watching) to take pictures, but this day we literally took pics in the middle of a shopping area, and I loved how they turned out.

The theme for the day ended up being "textures."
I was wearing some leather, fake suede & denim, and a wicker (??) hat.
Maddie had on a pair of perfect suede shorts and a shirt with embroidered detailing on the front.

Textures.
